Guest Blogging Policy

Posted by Jake on 21st March 2014

It’s great that you have an interest in posting on our blog.  We welcome relevant guest submissions from our readership.

We’re not able to use all the posts we get sent and may decide not to use your post.  The factors that we consider when deciding whether to use a submission are:

  • The quality of the post
  • Its relevance to our audience
  • The number of similar posts we have already

Exclusivity

The post you submit must be unique and exclusively for use by Geeksy.  Please do not send us content that you are using elsewhere.

Topics

The overall topic of our blog is ‘small business marketing’, so please choose themes around this area.  Otherwise, it’s down to you but we do look for originality.

Format

Please send us your guest post submission as a Word document or as a plain text file.  If you want to place any links in the content please put them in brackets near where you would like them to be placed.

Each post needs to have:

  • A headline
  • Body text
  • An author credit

If you would like any subheadings, then please use either tags or simply bold them.  Use list bullets where you feel they are appropriate, as well as bold and italics.

Links Back to Your Website

If it is relevant to the post, you may place links back to your website.  But please do not place a call to action to visit your website in the post, we will remove it or reject your submission.

Editing

All posts on our blog are edited, so please don’t fell offended if we edit your submission before adding it to the blog.  We just want the posts to be as successful as possible. Plus we know our audience and what will work best for them.

Author Credit

In exchange for contributing great content to our blog, we would like to thank you by adding an author credit to your posts.

We will place short biography below your posts and on an author page we create for you.  The author page will list all of your posts on our website.

Please provide your biography with your submission, in the form of a sentence or two, containing a maximum of two links.  Your biography should explain who you are and what you do.

Thanks in advance!

If you have any questions, or would like to contact us with your post, please use our contact form.
